Edward Mellor, South Manchester’s leading property services company, were expanding their sales force whilst simultaneously acquiring a new fleet of 60 silver Renault Clios.

Edward Mellor's marketing manager, Nia Franklin, contacted Covered UK (AdsOnVans) after finding us on the internet and liking the look of the work in our gallery which demonstrated our relevant experience in the field.
Our sales director Michael Lyons and head designer Glynn Williams arranged to go to the client to discuss their requirements and propose a plan of implementation. Nia Franklin indicated that Edward Mellor required their presence to be felt wherever their sales representatives went and needed an original vehicle wrap design which smartly and eye-catchingly reflected their corporate colours already used on their existing for sale boards, literature and shop signage and which incorporated their existing logo. Edward Mellor were looking for wraps to convert fully or partially the anonymous silver paintwork into their striking (Manchester city!) light blue with white logos and text. The was to be dynamic and forward thinking and pleasing to both male and female drivers in order to aid recruitment and please the existing work force. A sporty look seemed to fit the bill and tick all the boxes.
Our designers challenge was to come up with something simple, yet striking, in the 3D medium of a car wrap using the existing logos and colours of their existing 2D literature etc. Nine different designs were prepared for both full and partial wraps and the most strikingly effective one decided upon was a full wrap as the silver was so neutral it was found to minimise the impact of any partial deigns placed upon it.

The finished design had sporting type livery with double stripes made by extending the double Ls in Mellor across the length of the vehicles’ bonnets, roofs and boots. The design required a Full Wrap in a blue vinyl (Avery 900 premium cast material) with the additional white livery applied on top.
After delivery of the vinyl direct from the manufacturer in Holland and completion of computer profile cutting white vinyl to order, the fitting work was next was organised to be fitted in batches at a fitting centre especially arranged for the client's convenience. This was strategically located to be within easy reach of all sales force members and with a minimum of downtime for each vehicle.
The finished results were declared a triumph by the management team. Judge for yourself!

Since their unveiling the cars have been turning heads in the Stockport region and AdsOnVans have been here to provide after sales services in the form of crash damage repairs with a minimum of disruption to keep the Edward Mellor team on the road, where according to independent government based statistics (DOTR), with each car on the road for 8 hours a day, with an average of 4,000 views per hour, each car receives 13.4 million “views” per annum. The fleet therefore is therefore receiving 700,000,000 views per annum. This figure is just based on other road users and excludes pedestrians, making the figure actually much higher. This shows that the branding of the Edward Mellor fleet is an amazingly cost effective advertising tool which takes the Edward Mellor brand right into the heart of the community, where its customers see the car every minute of the day.
