When Morgan Ashurst plc www.morganashurst.com, a major nationwide building design, construction and maintenance company, took over another company “Bluestone” they urgently needed the re-branding of their fleet of 164 vans, as soon as possible, on location at 11 locations throughout the UK.
Covered UK, having tested 1 vehicle at its Nottingham Fitting centre. Put together a schedule to complete all vans within two weeks. The “challenge” of the project was that the part old Bluestone livery was created with a permanent “reflective” vinyl, that could not be removed by conventional means. What would normally take an hour to remove, was taking up to 16 man hours to remove. This was testing the experience of our fitting team (with a combined experience of 122 years of working with vehicle graphics and wraps!!) Having tested various different methods, we discovered the most effective way to remove the vinyl within a satisfactory period of time, as the vans in each location could not be off the road for more than half a day.

Due to the nature of the Morgan Ashurst business with the vast majority of their drivers working on site, the regional offices are mostly office spaces, without the facilities to house the number of vans for the region under cover to allow the branding to be completed. Covered UK were able to use its vast network of partner companies, to arrange suitable locations, large enough to house many vans, at locations throughout the UK. We arranged the branding of the vans at the following locations; Banbury, Oxford, Manchester, Taunton, Plymouth, Poole, Brighton, Norwich, Barnstaple, Cambridge, and Nottingham.
In addition to the challenges of the stubborn graphics, multiple locations and lack of warehouse space the fleet was not just one type of vehicle and the Covered UK Ltd design team had to adapt the artwork to different types of vehicle and van models and even develop livery that could be adapted to two different colours of paintwork on the Morgan Ashurst vehicles (some blue and some white) to help make the fleet appear more homogeneous.


Covered UK/AdsOnVan’s experienced fitting team embarked on the nationwide fitting schedule to re-brand the 164 vans, completing them all within schedule.

Since the branding of these vehicles Covered UK /AdsOnVans has carried out the branding of new vans purchased by the company and repaired crash damaged vehicles where necessary.
