This protection scheme presents a practical guarantee, designed to give customers both the greatest security and choice. We are one of the first companies in the UK to offer this type of Avery warranty.

To ensure our quality control for the warranty print we installed the first solvent diffuser, designed to accelerate the solvent migration, and condition the film prior to laminating.

What is AVERY Supreme Cover?

Avery Supreme Cover is Avery’s warranty system, which offers you all the reassurance you can wish for.

In the unlikely event that one of our films is not in a perfect shape, our system offers you a warranty on several ranges of self-adhesive materials, in combination with a variety of inks, original equipment manufacturers and converters. Avery Supreme Cover covers not only the cost of the defective material, but also the cost of inks, re-conversion, removal and re-application. Underlining Avery’s belief in providing quality and durability.

What are the pre-conditions?

Avery Supreme Cover offers cover to specified converters, equipment supplied by specified OEM’s and ink supplied by specified ink suppliers. These are:

What is covered by Avery Supreme Cover?

Depending on activity and product range, Avery Supreme Cover covers material, inks, re-conversion, removal of defective graphic and re-application up to a pre-determined limit.

Digital printing:

Avery MPI, Avery IPM, Avery IPM-I, Avery MPI-A. For Gerber Edge printing: Avery Supreme Cover valid for Avery 800 PC + 900 SC. Refund of material and ribbons.

Signage (Computer Cutting):

Avery 800 PC, Avery 900 SC films, Avery 5500 QM Translucent films, Avery 5000 Flexible Subtrate. Refund of material, re-conversion, removal and re-application with a total maximum limit of two times the cost of material.

The Avery MPI Supreme Cover

The Avery MPI Supreme Cover gives protection for customers, who find themselves in the unusual position of a graphics failure. In such an event, Avery Dennison will compensate for the cost of the film, laminate, ink, digital printing and conversion of the new graphics, subject to the terms and conditions described in this guarantee.

Avery Dennison offer the Avery MPI range for a range of specific applications for vehicle graphics and stationary signs. When processed on the ScitexVision XLJet and used in conjunction with SCITEXVISION inks and one of the clear coats or laminates, the Avery MPI products will be covered for a maximum period of 3 years.

Guaranteed durability will vary between the type of media and to the precise usage of the graphics. For detailed product descriptions and specific ratings per product.

The durability starts from the date of application, provided this date is within the shelf life period of the materials used.

In the unlikely event of a graphics failure during the covered period, Avery Dennison will repair or replace the self-adhesive films, inks used, and reprinting, at its option, according to the terms of this supreme cover.

The Avery MPI Supreme Cover will only be valid, if the Digital Print Specification form is completed, and approved by Avery Dennison.

The Terms of the Avery MPI Supreme Cover

1. The failure or unsatisfactory performance of a graphic shall be defined as one being caused by defective Avery MPI Films and/or the above mentioned inks, which is defined as no appreciable deterioration in the functional performance of the product. Cracking, chalking, blistering or loss of adhesion shall constitute a breach of guarantee if they occur during the guaranteed period. Slight colour fading; slight chalking or slight reduction in gloss; product deterioration due to contact with solvents, chemicals or the improper use of mechanical or hydraulic cleaning tools, do not constitute a breach of this supreme cover. Avery Dennison Graphics Division shall be the sole arbiter as to whether the deterioration of the graphic is within the normal expectancy of aging and colour change, and no longer conforms to the intended purpose.
2. In the event of failure Avery Dennison will compensate for the cost of repair or replacement, at Avery Dennison's option, of the Avery MPI Films, laminates and ScitexVision inks specified in this guarantee, including the cost of reprinting and conversion, however, excluding the replacement of the graphics. Avery Dennison's liability on any claim of any kind shall in no case exceed the limits as stated herein. The aforementioned compensation will be in line with the following procedure:
During the first year (if covered period is up to 2 years), or 2 years (if covered period is up to 3 years of the guaranteed period, Avery Dennison will fully compensate the cost (at original purchase price) of the Avery MPI Films, laminates, and specified inks used, including the cost of reprinting of the graphics. After this period of 1 year, Avery Dennison will reduce the compensation under a) according to the use gained from the graphic, in proportion to the remaining guaranteed life of the graphic. So the compensation would be as follows, using a 3 year, and a 2 year guarantee as an example:

The Avery MPI Supreme Cover will under no circumstances apply to graphics overlaminated with any films which are not Avery branded. In the unlikely case of an obvious defect in the Avery MPI Film, such as cosmetic imperfection which results in a reduction of image quality, Avery Dennison will give 5 meters of the MPI film free of charge, or its cost equivalent.
3. The Avery MPI Supreme Cover Outdoor Durability is based on middle European exposure conditions. Actual performance life will depend on substrate preparation, exposure conditions and maintenance of the graphics. In the case of graphics facing south; in areas of long high temperatures such as southern European countries, in industrially polluted areas or high altitudes, exterior performance will be decreased and the guaranteed period will be amended accordingly. Please consult our ‘Global Supreme Cover zone system' to check the durability in your area.
4. The Avery Supreme Cover will only be valid if the graphics are prepared and manufactured by a qualified ScitexVision printer, appointed and approved specifically for the printing of Avery MPI Films.
5. The graphic must be applied correctly in line with the Avery Application Instructions, in a manner consistent with the expectation of durability, and to a clean, suitable, and properly prepared substrate. The recommendations for the use of Application Tape, have to be followed.
6. In the case that the graphics is applied to glass, Avery Dennison accepts no liability for glass breakage. Glass is prone to break under stress caused by temperature changes across the surface, which could be amplified by the application of vinyl film.
7. The Avery MPI Supreme Cover requires that Avery Dennison is notified in writing of any claims within fourteen days of material failure or unsatisfactory performance. Claim notifications must include name and lot numbers for films and processing components, report of processing conditions and in-process test results, finished graphics retain samples, installation date and location, name of graphics installer, and any other pertinent information requested by Avery Dennison. Avery Dennison reserves the right to inspect all reported claims. Failure to comply constitutes a waiver of all rights under the Avery MPI Supreme Cover.
8. No express guaranties and no implied guaranties, whether of merchantability or fitness for any particular use, or otherwise, except as set forth above (which is made expressly in lieu of all other guaranties) shall apply to the Avery MPI films and inks described herein. Avery Dennison specifically disclaims and excludes all other such guaranties. No waiver, alteration addition or modification of the foregoing shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Avery Dennison. In no event shall Avery Dennison be liable for any incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of profit, loss of use or production or loss of capital. Avery Dennison's liability on any claim shall in no case exceed the amount expressly provided for in this supreme cover.
9. Failure to comply with the program and instructions in product data bulletins, instructional bulletins, including a guide to storing, processing, applying and maintenance of Avery MPI Films and ScitexVision inks specified in this guarantee, no matter whether from Avery Dennison or from ScitexVision, will make this Avery MPI Supreme Cover null and void. The same will apply if complaint documents, adequate substantiation by proper documentary evidence of direct cost of repair or replacement of defective Avery MPI Films and/or inks specified herein, are lacking, or if the films and/or inks have not been paid for.
10. Avery Dennison has no obligations under this guarantee with regard to Avery MPI Films and ScitexVision inks mentioned herein, that have been modified or damaged through misuse, abuse, accident, neglect or mishandling. For example, unless specifically claimed in an Avery Dennison bulletin, graphics are not covered against ink or clear coat damage or removal, base film damage or lifting, or staining caused by chemical or physical means such as but not limited to vandalism, cleaning solutions, high pressure washing equipment, mechanical washing equipment which might subject the graphics to frequent vigorously abrasive scouring action, spills of engine fuels, engine exhaust, steam, organic solvents or other spilled chemicals. Avery MPI Films applied to unsound surfaces or to surfaces which subsequently crack, peel, delaminate or become damaged beneath the graphics are not guaranteed for performance.
11. All Avery MPI films are sold subject to Avery Dennison's standard terms and conditions of sale, a copy of which is available on request. In case of any inconsistency between such standard terms and conditions of sale and this Avery MPI Supreme Cover document, the latter shall apply in place and shall prevail.
12. This Avery Supreme Cover statement may be translated into other languages. In the event of conflict between any translation and this English version, this English version shall prevail.
